Meeting people

American faces draw a lot of interest and welcome from Chinese. While climbing up the Great Wall (pardon my appearance -- it was hot and steep) this man wanted to invite me to his town in China and get a picture with me. He asked me where I was from, and I said America, Louisville, Kentucky, like Kentucky Fried Chicken. His eyes grew wide and he said "Thank you!"

I understand that the Chinese really like chicken and have grown to love KFC. In Beijing, you can't hardly turn around without seeing another KFC.
